Blog 11 - The Murder

Cleake woke up from his adventures to Walter's Lanes more depressed than ever. So desperate from depression that he called his mom in hopes of an engaging conversation. Ring ring... Ring ring... Ring ring... Cleake contemplated hanging up. Ring ring... "Hello?" His mom sounded surprised. "Hey mom, it's Cleake." "Hey darling, is something wrong?" "No mom why would anything be wrong?" "Well it's four in the morning and you hardly ever call me. Leads me to believe you're in trouble and need help." "I didn't realize what time it was. I just wanted to talk to my mom." "Honey, you sound sad, what's wrong?" "Mom, nothing is wrong it's alright." "Okay, then do you want to talk about something or can I go back to sleep?" "I don't really have a specific subject I just want to her your voice." "Cleake, I think something's wrong. It's great to hear from you, but you never want to talk." "I know, mom, and I'm sorry. I just can't seem to find anything else to do." "Honey, something's wrong. I'm going to call the psychiatric at the clinic when I wake up in the morning. His names Bill and he's a good friend of mine. I'll see when he can fit you in." "Alright mom, I think I'm fine, but if that's what you want..." "See, I knew something was wrong. You'd never be so compliant... I'll call you back when I know your appointment time." "Thanks mom. I lo..." Cleake was cut off by the buzzer from his mom hanging up. "ve you..." Cleake wasnt sleepy so he sat there staring at all waiting on his mom to call. Four hours went by where Cleake just sat there staring until his mom called back. Ring ring... "Hey mom." "Hey Cleake. Your appointment is at 3:45. Bill says to get there early because he thinks he'll be early with his 3 o'clock appointment sooner than the time he's allotted." "Alright mom, thanks." "I love you Cleake, but you're scaring me. Hope it goes well. Love you" She hang up immediately. Cleake went back to bed. He couldn't remember anything from the past four and a half hours except for his mom telling him to go to the clinic early for a 3:45 appointment. All that was on his mind was the blur of the recent events, but his thoughts were still seemingly lost. Cleake fell asleep around five thirty in the morning and woke around two p.m. He dressed for his appointment and left the apartments at 2:30. He arrived at the clinic at 2:50 after walking extremely slowly for no real reason. He recognized a woman from his apartment building but didn't bother to say hi. She lived multiple stories over him, and he saw her rarely, concluding in them never speaking before. At three o'clock, he caught her name, Sile N'Bhroin, as she was called into the psychiatric. Cleake had no clue where his obsession for her came from, but he couldn't stop thinking about that name and how angry he was for having to wait on her. Of all of the people he would have wait on it would be Sile. He had never heard her name before but now the very thought her name infuriated him. 3:30 passed and she still hadn't left. 3:45, it was his time for the psychiatric. 4:00, she was using his time, passing him off. Finally, it was 4:30, and she exited the psychiatric. Bill came out and apologized to Cleake for his wait, but regretted to inform Cleake he would not be able to see him today. However, Bill assured him that he would see Cleake first thing in the morning. Cleake didn't mind, all he cared about was how that bitch had stolen his slot. Cleake accepted his offer and left the clinic in a hurry, following Sile. He followed her to her room in Castle Apartments, 783 as Cleake found out. At this point, Cleake couldn't think straight as he rushed down to his apartment to grab a knife. He rushed back up and busted down her door. Blind from rage, he grabbed the startled Sile and stabbed her. Furious with rage, he continued stabbing to assure she would no longer meddle with his appointments... Cleake hadn't even had a real appointment, yet he was willing to kill for them. He dropped the knife and everything went black as he stood over her corpse. One thing was clear, Cleake was insane. Insane from something. The cause was indeterminable. It could have been his depression, the phone call with his mom, or, as simple as, the unknown effect of his lonely prime scores.
