Blog 8 - Motifs

Cleake was on his way out Castle Apartments at 6:30 to go to Casa de Waffle before heading to work when he noticed the church lights on. He thought about it and realized he hadn’t been to church since his mom made him go every Sunday. This was partly due to his lack of belief in God, but he wanted to check out the local church anyway. The weather was quite eerie, so Cleake went on to Casa de Waffle before visiting the church. Cleake had (big suprise here) waffles, lots of waffles, four waffles to be exact, and then headed on his way. He checked the time to see if he had enough to visit the church. His watch still read 6:30, just as it had when he left Castle Apartments. He paid no attention to it, assuming that his watch had stopped working. Cleake reached the church and entered to find Pink talking to a ghost. Pink was motionless while it looked like the ghost was talking to him, almost lecturing. Cleake walked up a little bit and heard a small portion of the speech. It sounded as if it was Pink’s dad. Once the ghost recognized Cleake’s presence, the ghost stopped and stared Cleake down. Cleake was frightened and ran out of the church, checked his watch again, and realized he was running late to work as his watch read 8:15.
